Chapel Hills Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Chapel Hills was designed by Bill Franklin and first saw play in 1955.
The front nine is narrow with a series of doglegs, requiring precision from the tee. Although shorter than the back nine, the front nine is more difficult because shot accuracy is more critical. The back nine is much longer, and it boasts three of the course’s par 5s. The greens are undulating and medium-sized, and ponds come into play on six holes.
The signature hole is #3, a 448-yard, par 5, requiring an approach shot to an elevated green.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,038 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,507 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 505 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 14, a par-3 that plays to 156 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 399-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Chapel Hills is # 16, a 166 yard par-3.
